Rhonda Taylor

Rhonda Taylor is an executive and entrepreneur with 30 years’ experience in business development, process improvement, and financial management. She is an enthusiastic leader with a passion for excelling at establishing and executing new business startup ventures within complex environments. Taylor’s experience consists of 18 years in the background check industry as the CEO of a nationwide employment screening and drug testing company. She has also spent the last eight years as an employer advocate navigating a myriad of complex issues while working with L&I and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA). She holds a Washington State Private Investigator license and is a Certified Washington State Self-Insurance Claims Administrator.

Ruth Lewis

Ruth Lewis has over 35 years of experience in client relations, business development, and private investigation of suspected workers’ compensation fraud. After obtaining her criminal justice degree, she worked in the criminal records and data management office at the Seattle Police Department. She also served as Deputy Clerk for the Snohomish County Superior Court. Her passion for standing up for what’s right led her to a career as a fraud investigator for multiple large, self-insured companies in the Puget Sound region and, eventually, her role as Vice President at Stop Claims Corp. Lewis’ experience has enabled her to build loyalty amongst local professionals, peers, and volunteer organizations. She holds a Washington State Private Investigator License.

Kayla Orejuela

Kayla Orejuela is an Employer Outreach Executive. She has over 18 years of experience in HR, criminal background investigations, and workers compensation claim administration as an L&I Senior Litigation Paralegal and BIIA Lay Representative. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in Human Resource Management. Her diverse background allows her to successfully administrate state fund claims for employers of all industries and sizes. She also specializes in transitioning growing companies from the state fund to self-insured programs. Orejuela believes employers inherently want to cultivate a safe, claim-free workplace; they just need the tools, direction, and guidance to achieve compliance. Her goal is for you to focus on the vision of your business.  She is the workers compensation expert, so you don’t have to be!  She’s especially passionate about bridging this gap for Latino entrepreneurs. Orejuela is a Certified Washington State Self-Insurance Claims Administrator and a proud Ambassador for the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County.
